# What do the lights on my M400 and M4000 indicate?

The M400 and M4000's external battery has three status LED that will indicate the remaining capacity of the battery.

While in use, the button on the battery pod may be pressed to enable the lights. They will indicate the capacity based on the breakdown below:

- 3 LEDs: Remaining capacity >90%
- 2 LEDs: Remaining capacity >33%
- 1 LED: Remaining capacity >10%
- Blinking: Remaining capacity <10%
- Off: 0%

While charging, the blinking LED will indicate to what level the battery is charging to based on the list above.
