Video Guide:

Making Your First Teams Call

When placing your first Teams call, a screen will appear displaying a code and directions to visit http://www.microsoft.com/devicelogin. Enter the code and log in with your company domain credentials.

After entering this code the website will prompt you to login with your corporate Microsoft Account.

This procedure may prompt administrators to approve the application for use. Depending on internal protocols, this process may require some time to complete.

If you are the very first user to request this app you may see this message:

Enter a justification and click on “Request approval” and you will see this confirmation”:

If the app was previously approved but your administrators require that each new user is reviewed, you may see a message when you try to login:

Regardless, you should receive an email confirmation from your administrators letting you know when the app has been approved.  When you receive that, you are ready to use the app.  You may need to login with a code one more time, but when you do this time the code on the glasses will disappear and you will see the launcher screen with the Vuzix Remote Assist applications.

At that point you are authorized to conduct Teams calls. The Calendar tab will display scheduled Teams meetings, which can be joined by selecting the appropriate entry. The Recent Contacts tab lists individuals with whom you have recently communicated via Teams Chat; selecting any contact enables you to place a Teams call directly.

During calls, audio from your microphone and video from your Vuzix Smartglasses will be transmitted to meeting participants.

Tenancy Swap for Solution Kits

Vuzix Smartglasses come ready to work with a Vuzix tenant, allowing users to start using them right away. However, usage is capped until users switch to their own corporate tenant after it has been set up. When company Azure administrators finish configuring the solution on the internal corporate tenant, they will provide users with a QR code to complete the transition.

To swap tenants you will need to select “Settings”

And then “Microsoft Settings”

And then “Scan configuration code”

If you do not see “Microsoft settings” in your settings menu, follow the instructions in the “Tenants Swap for Stand-alone App”

Once the QR code is scanned, you’ll see that “Company Name” and other information will be updated on this screen, and future calls will be routed through your organization’s infrastructure.
